FAQ

How does a transit mixer work ?

With the aid of a spiral blade installed within the drum, the ready-mixed concrete is pushed further into the drum attached to the rear of the truck as it is being delivered to the building site. The drum is rotated in one direction to do this. The transit mixer is being charged throughout this procedure.

The ready-mixed concrete is forced out of the drum at the building site by rotating the drum the other way. Discharging is the term for this action. The ready-mixed concrete may be poured straight into pumps, conveyor belts, or chutes.

How much does a truck weigh ?
A truck weighs 10 tons when it is empty and 25 tons when it is fully loaded with ready mixed concrete(RMC).

How can I be sure of the quantity of ready mixed concrete supplied ?
  •  When real dimensions differ even slightly from expected dimensions, the form volume or slab thickness has been incorrectly calculated.
  • The formwork deflecting or warping.
  •  Subgrade irregularity and settling.
  • For big pours, smaller portions are squandered or utilised incidentally.
  •  For large pours, include an allowance of about 2% over planned dimensions to account for wastage, potential increased thickness, etc.
